My shop is in Bakersville, North

Carolina -- a one hour drive from

Asheville.

Metalworking tools and machines fill my

space and help to ease the intensive

labor of moving metal.

Coal and propane gas forges heat the

metal to 2000 degrees rendering steel

as soft as clay.

Traditional tools of the blacksmith and

some modern machines are used to

squish, bend, flatten, punch, manipulate

and weld, all sorts of shapes into pieces

or parts.
